Strawberry Buttered French Toast

  Frozen sliced strawberries 10 Ounce, thawed
  Eggs 3 , slightly beaten
  Sugar 2 Teaspoon
  Grated lemon peel 2 Teaspoon
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cream 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  White bread slices 4 , halved
  Butter/Margarine 4 Teaspoon

Drain strawberries; measure 1/3 cup syrup.
Prepare Strawberry Butter, using the berries and any remaining syrup.
Combine in a shallow bowl the eggs, sugar, lemon peel, and extract.
Mix well and stir in the cream and the 1/3 cup strawberry syrup.
Put bread slices into egg mixture and let stand until thoroughly moistened, turning slices once.
Heat the butter in a large heavy skillet.
When skillet is hot, add bread slices and brown on one side; turn and brown on the other side.
Add butter as needed to keep slices from sticking.
Serve immediately with Strawberry Butter.
