|Freshly squeezed orange juice||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Pears||2 Large, pared, cored and cut in half|
|Semi sweet chocolate bits||6 Ounce (1 Package)|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce, softened (1 Package, At Room Temperature)|
|Ground walnuts||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Confectioners sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Grated orange rind||1 Tablespoon|
Bring orange juice to a boil in a large saucepan; add pears.
Cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 to 25 minutes, or until pears are tender but hold their shape.
Pour off and set aside l/2 cup orange juice; chill pears.
Melt chocolate over hot (not boiling) water in the top of a double boiler.
Add reserved l/2 cup orange juice and salt; blend until smooth.
Beat cream cheese in a small bowl until smooth; blend in walnuts, confectioner's sugar and orange rind.
Arrange pears in a pool of chocolate sauce in dessert dishes; pipe or spoon cream cheese mixture on top of pears.
