French Almond Brownies
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Confectioner's sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Almond extract||1 Tablespoon|
|Almond extract||1⁄4 Tablespoon|
|Flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Melt chocolate and butter over hot water.
Beat eggs and sugar until frothy, then add to chocolate mixture.
Add remaining ingredients to chocolate mixture.
Pour into greased 9" pie pan.
Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350Â°.
Do not overbake.
When brownies are well cooled, frost.
Melt glaze in a small saucepan, then cool.
Drizzle over the frosted brownies in a lattice fashion.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Keep any leftovers refrigerated.
Make about 10-12 pie-shaped servings.
(This is quite rich.) (Peppermint extract may be substituted.)
