French Onion Soup
|Onions||4 Large, sliced thin|
|Condensed beef broth||2 Can (20 oz)|
|Water||120 Milliliter (1 Soup Can)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|French bread slices||12 , toasted|
|Swiss cheese/Parmesan cheese||4 Tablespoon (4 To 6 1/4 Inch Thick Slices)|
Cook onions in butter till tender but not brown.
Add broth, water, and Worcestershire.
Cover; simmer 20 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pour soup into ovenproof bowls to nearly fill.
Float two slices toasted bread atop each.
Cover each bowl with a thick' slice of cheese.
Place on foil (to catch cheese drips); broil 4 inches from heat just till cheese starts to melt and turn golden on edges, about 4 minutes.
