French Baked Onions

Ingredients
  Onions 8 Large, peeled
  Butter 2 Ounce
  Salt To Taste
  Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
Directions

Dot the onions with butter, then season.
Wrap each onion in foil and place on a baking tray.
Bake at 350°F, Gas Mark 4 for about 1 1/2 hours, until tender.
