Fruity French Toast
|French bread loaf||1|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||1 Tablespoon|
|Frozen strawberries||20 Ounce, thawed (1 Package Of 20 Ounces)|
|Ripe bananas||4 , sliced|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Apple pie spice mix||1 Tablespoon|
Cut bread into 8 or more thick slices and place them in a deep bowl.
Combine the eggs, milk, baking powder and vanilla in a bowl and whisk to blend.
Pour the egg mixture over the bread.
Chill, covered, for 8 to 10 hours.
Mix together the strawberries, bananas, sugar and apple pie spice.
Spread the strawberry mixture in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Layer the soaked bread over the fruit.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Bake at 450 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until hot and lightly browned.
