Quiche Lorraine

The quiche lorraine is a lovely and delicious quiche recipe inspired by the french. This quiche lorraine is a party favorite of mine and is baked with green peppers, mushrooms and onions along with cheese and bacon. Topped with egg mix and flavored with thyme, the quiche lorraine is great quiche recipe.
  9 inch unbaked pie shell 1 (Deep)
  Bacon 1⁄2 Pound
  Grated swiss cheese 6 Ounce
  Diced green peppers 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sliced onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Drained mushrooms/Sliced fresh 1 Can (10 oz)
  Eggs 3
  Milk/Half and half / carnation evaporated 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1 Pinch

Cook bacon until crisp.
Drain and crumble, set aside.
Saute together green pepper, onion and mushrooms; drain.
Beat eggs slightly.
Add milk and seasonings, mix well.
In unbaked pie shell, sprinkle cheese, then bacon and green pepper mixture.
Gently pour on egg mixture.
Bake for 12 minutes at 400°F, or 30 minutes at 325°F.
