French Fried Onions

Ingredients
  Onions 1⁄2 Pound, sliced
  Egg 1
  Flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon (opt)
  Oil/Fat 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (adjust as required)
Directions

Separate onions into rings.
Combine egg, flour, salt and milk; blend well.
Dip onions into batter; fry in hot fat for 2 minutes or until brown.
