French Onion Soup Gratin
|Thinly sliced onion||2 Cup (32 tbs), separated into rings|
|Olive oil||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Dry red wine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Canned beef broth||10 1⁄2 Ounce|
|French bread slice||4 , diagonally cut|
|Shredded swiss cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Reduced Fat Reduced Sodium)|
Combine first 3 ingredients in a 3 quart casse role; stir well.
Cover and microwave at HIGH 12 to 14 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring after 6 minutes.
Add water, wine, pepper, and broth; cover and microwave at HIGH 10 min utes, stirring after 5 minutes.
Spoon 1 cup soup into each of 4 microwave-safe bowls, and top each with 1 bread slice and 2 tablespoons cheese.
Microwave at HIGH for 1 minute or until cheese melts.
