French Lettuce Peas

Ingredients
  Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shelled peas 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Green onions 8 , chopped
  Iceberg lettuce 1 Cup (16 tbs), shredded
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine water and salt in a saucepan, bring to a boil.
Add peas, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 8 to 12 minutes.
Drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients, cook, uncovered, 5 minutes or until lettuce is slightly wilted.
