French Fried Onion Rings
|Spanish onion||1 Large (or bermuda)|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
Peel onion; cut into 1/4-inch.slices and separate into rings.
Heat fat or oil (1 inch deep) to 375Â° in large skillet.
Beat remaining ingredients with rotary beater until smooth.
Dip each onion ring into batter, letting excess drip into bowl.
Fry a few onion rings at a time in hot fat about 2 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.
