French Fried Onions
|Onion||1 Pound, sliced across in rings|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Oil||2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)|
1 Separate the onion slices into rings. Place the rings in a bowl, cover with cold water and soak for 10 minutes. Drain well.
2 Dip the onion rings in the milk and then drain in a colander. Sift the flour and a pinch of salt onto a plate. Coat the onion rings in the seasoned flour.
3 Heat the oil to 375Â°F. Add the onion rings and fry for 3 minutes or until golden. Drain them on absorbent paper and use as a garnish for deep-fried fish.
