Top-of-the-stove Potatoes An. Gratin

Ingredients
  Boiling water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Diced potatoes 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Chopped onions 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Grated cheddar cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Pepper To Taste
  Parsley 3
Directions

To boiling water and salt in saucepan add potatoes and onion; cover, and boil 10 minutes.
Remove lid, and, stirring several times, let mixture simmer until water is almost evaporated.
Add milk, cheese, pepper and extra salt, if needed.
Heat thoroughly.
Turn into warm dish, and garnish with parsley.
