|Large shrimp||1 1⁄2 Pound|

|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
If using frozen shrimp, allow to thaw.
Peel shrimp, and cut almost through lengthwise.
Remove veins, wash and drain.
Make batter by sifting dry ingredients together; combine milk with beaten egg, and add liquid to dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
Heat salad oil in skillet until very hot (375Ã‚Â°F.
if using thermometer.) Use enough oil to cover shrimp completely.
Dip shrimp in batter and fry until golden brownÃ¢â‚¬â€5Ã¢â‚¬â€7 minutes.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve plain or with Tartar Sauce.
