|Almond meal||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Softened butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1.Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2.place the pastry sheet on a floured board and cut each sheet into a circle.
3.Place a pastry sheet on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and make number of holes with a fork.
4.In a large bowl mix almond meal, sugar, eggs, butter, and vanilla.
5.Spread this mixture over bottom pastry leaving the outer edge without filling.
6.Place the “favor” in the filling close to the outer edge.
7.Top with second pastry circle, seal the edges by pressing them together with a fork.
8. Make little crossings and tiny holes on top with a fork to let any steam escape during baking.
8.Brush with an egg yolk diluted with little water.
9.Bake for about 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
10.Cut it into pieces and serve it as a sweet treat to the kids.
