French Green Peas
|Lettuce leaves||6 (outer leaves)|
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Sugar||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Arrange lettuce leaves in heavy saucepan.
Combine peas with onions, parsley, butter, sugar and salt.
Spoon mixture onto lettuce; sprinkle with 3 tablespoons water.
Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until peas are tender; remove from heat.
Shred lettuce; mix with peas.
