French Pineapple

Ingredients
  Vanilla wafers 1 Pound
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Powdered sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Eggs 4
  Heavy cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Crushed pineapple 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Maraschino cherries 200 Gram
  Broken pecans 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

"Line shallow pan with half the wafer crumbs.
Beat butter until light; add sugar gradually, beating con- stantly.
Beat eggs until light; add to sugar mixture, beating until smooth.
Spread sugar mixture over crumbs.
Whip cream until stiff peaks form; fold in pineapple, maraschino cherries and pecans.
Pour pineapple mixture over sugar mixture; top with remaining crumbs.
Refrigerate for 24 hours.
