Seasoned Steak Au Poivre

Ingredients
  Peppercorns 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Beef fillet steaks 4 (1 1/2 Inches Thick Each)
  Salt To Taste
  Shallot 1 , minced
  Butter 1⁄4 Pound
  Cognac 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Dijon mustard 2 Teaspoon
  Heavy cream 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Start by cracking the peppercorns on a cloth with the help of a rolling pin
2. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the steaks
3. In a skillet, saute the shallot in butter
4. Divide the shallot butter let one part stay in the skillet and the other on the side of the grill for basting purpose
5. Start grilling the steaks, then place it in the skillet along with shallot butter
6. Pour pre-warmed cognac and flame, and
place skillet on the grill, and set aside
7. Add the mustard and cream and stir to blend all the sauce ingredients
8. Finally remove steaks and serve in a platter also pour sauce over

SERVING
9. Serve with salads, garlic bread, fries
