Golden Glow French Toast
|Whole wheat bread slices||6|
|Eggs||2 , slightly beaten|
|Sweetened rhubarb puree||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Grated orange peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Orange juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Coarsely crushed cheerios||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Melted margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Syrup/Honey||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Preheat oven to 425°.
Dip the bread into a mixture of the next 8 ingredients; let slices soak up liquid.
Then press each slice on both sides into crushed cereal.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Drizzle margarine over top.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Use a mild-flavored syrup over the toast, or just honey and butter.
