French Toast Or Pain Perdu
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , beaten|
|Butter/Bacon drippings||1 Tablespoon|
|Confectioners sugar/Honey/syrup||1 Tablespoon|
1. In a bowl combine sugar, milk, salt, flavoring and eggs.
2. Soak bread in mixture and cook in hot shortening and butter such that well browned on both sides.
3. Sprinkling over with confectioners' sugar serve hot, with syrup or honey.
