French Toast Or Pain Perdu

Ingredients
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Brandy/Vanilla 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Bread slice 6
  Shortening 2 Tablespoon
  Butter/Bacon drippings 1 Tablespoon
  Confectioners sugar/Honey/syrup 1 Tablespoon
Directions

MAKING
1. In a bowl combine sugar, milk, salt, flavoring and eggs.
2. Soak bread in mixture and cook in hot shortening and butter such that well browned on both sides.

SERVING
3. Sprinkling over with confectioners' sugar serve hot, with syrup or honey.
