French Bean Casserole

Ingredients
  Dried lima beans 1 Pound, washed
  Fat 2 Tablespoon
  Water 6 Cup (96 tbs)
  Pork sausage 1⁄2 Pound
  Boneless lamb 1 Pound, cubed
  Onions 2 , chopped
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Dried rosemary leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon, crumbled
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Red wine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1) Preheat moderate oven (350°F.)

MAKING
2) In a saucepan put beans, cover with water and boil for 2 minutes.
3) Let the pan stand covered for 1 hour.
4) If required add more water and cook till done.
5) Drain beans and keep aside 1 1/2 cups liquid.
6) Halve sausages and brown in fat. Drain.
7) Brown lamb, onion, and garlic.
8) Arrange lamb mixture into 3-quart casserole.
9) Add seasonings and wine.
10) Place in oven and bake covered for 1 hour.
11) Mix beans, sausage, and bean liquid.
12) Bake covered for further 1 1/2 hours.

SERVING
13) Serve hot.
