Pumpkin Bisque

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Finely minced shallots/White part of green onions 2 Tablespoon
  Condensed chicken broth/2 1/2 cups homemade chicken / goose broth 21 1⁄2 Ounce (Undiluted, 2 Cans, 10 3/4 Ounce Each)
  Canned pumpkin 1 Pound (1 Can)
  Dried thyme leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1 Dash
  Ground allspice 1 Dash
  Heavy cream 1⁄2 Pint (1 Cup)
Directions

In 3-quart saucepan, over medium heat, melt butter. Add shallots; saute until tender.
Stir in broth, pumpkin, thyme, pepper, nutmeg and allspice; simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Blend well.
Add cream; continue cooking until hot but not boiling. (If using homemade broth, add salt to taste.)
