Easy French Onion Soup

|Onions||1 1⁄2 Pound, sliced to make 5 cups|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Beef bouillon||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Toasted french bread slices||8|
|Grated parmesan cheese||2 Tablespoon|
Peel onions and slice thin.
Brown lightly in butter.
Add to bouillon and simmer, covered, for about 30 minutes.
Season to taste.
Put into large casserole or individual casseroles.
Top with toast and sprinkle with cheese.
