2) Peel, halve and core the pears.
3) In a 8 x 14 x 2 inches baking pan, arrange the pear halves with the cut side up.
4) Mix the sugar, flour, and nutmeg together and sprinkle evenly over the pears.
5) Add 1 teaspoon butter into each pear cavity.
6) Fill the bottom of the pan with hot water, cover with a foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
7) Uncover and bake further for 15 minutes until the pears are lightly browned and tender.
