Pain De Veau

Ingredients
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 , minced
  Veal 2 Pound, ground
  Salt pork 1⁄2 Pound, ground
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Chopped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Fresh lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Dry bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Tomato sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Bacon fat 2 Tablespoon (From 2 Slices Of Bacon)
Directions

Heat butter and saute onion until golden brown.
Combine onion with remaining ingredients except bacon fat, and blend well.
Pack mixture into a loaf pan (9 x 5x3 inches).
Brush top with bacon fat.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350° F.) for about 1 hour.
This loaf may be eaten cold or served hot with gravy or tomato sauce.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
