FRENCH FRIED POTATOES

Ingredients
  Potatoes 1 Kilogram
  Oil   (for frying)
Directions

Peel and cut potatoes and slice into strips 2 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch thick.
Wash and wipe well.
Heat oil in pan to 300°F.
Drop in potatoes and cook for 3 minutes or until all spluttering has stopped.
Lift out and cool for 5 minutes, then place in a frying basket and fry for 5 minutes, or until they are crisp and golden brown.
