FRENCH BEANS SOMERSET STYLE

Ingredients
  Young french beans 1 Pound
  Butter 1⁄2 Ounce
  Grated cooking apple 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
Directions

String the beans and snap them in half.
Boil in salted water until tender.
Drain and add the butter, lemon juice, sugar and grated apple.
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve hot.
