French Chocolate Meringues
|Semi sweet chocolate morsels||6 Ounce (1 Package/ 1 Cup)|
|Egg whites||3 (At Room Temperature)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely crushed saltines||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Preheat oven 350 degrees.
Melt chocolate morsels in top of double boiler over hot water (not boiling).
Remove from water; let cool 5 minutes.
Combine egg whites and vanilla; beat until stiff, but not dry.
Add sugar gradually; beat until very stiff.
Fold in crackers and melted chocolate.
Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheets.
Bake in 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheets; cool on rack.
