Slow Cooker Cassoulet

Ingredients
  Broiler fryer chicken 3 1⁄2 Pound, cut up (1 Piece)
  Leek 1 Small, thinly sliced
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Chopped fresh parsley 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Canned white kidney beans 30 Ounce, drained (2 Cans, 15 Ounce Each)
  Smoked sausage links 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices
  Dry white wine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

MAKING
1.Take a slow cooker and add chicken, leek, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
2.Put beans and sausage in the cooker.
3.Put the lid on and place the cooker on LOW heat for 5-6 hrs.
4.Remove the cooker from heat when the chicken gets tender.

SERVING
5.Serve hot.

Do you need to brown the chicken before placing in the cooker?

Hi Starspangler, Browning of the chicken wont be needed. But you can do some sauteing, if desired.
