Superb Strawberry Souffle
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Frozen sliced strawberries||20 Ounce, thawed and drained and reserve syrup (2 Packages Of 10 Ounce Each)|
|Eggs||4 , separated|
|Unflavored gelatin||2 Ounce (2 Envelopes)|
|Red food coloring||6 Drop|
|Whipping cream||1 Cup (16 tbs), whipped|
Set Power Select at MEDIUM.
Add water to reserved syrup to equal 1 1/2 cups; stir in egg yolks.
In large glass bowl, mix unflavored gelatin and 4 tablespoons sugar; stir in syrup mixture.
Heat 5 to 6 minutes or until gelatin is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
Stir in food coloring and an additional 1 cup cold water.
Chill until mixture mounds slightly, stirring occasionally.
Fold in strawberries.
Beat egg whites until soft peaks form; gradually add remaining sugar and beat until stiff.
Fold in gelatin mixture, then whipped cream.
Turn into 1 -quart souffle dish with 2-inch collar or 6 cup bowl; chill until firm.
