Quick Egg Cheese Souffle
|Bread slices||30 , crust removed|
|Sharp cheddar cheese slice||20|
|Milk||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
Generously butter 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Place layer of bread in bottom and top with half of cheese.
Beat eggs, milk and salt in mixing bowl until well blended.
Pour mixture over bread.
Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
Bring souffle to room temperature.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake casserole until top is brown and puffy about 45 minutes.
For variation, cooked shrimp or diced ham may be sprinkled over top of each cheese layer before adding egg mixture.
