Beef And Bean Cassoulet
|Tomato sauce with chopped onion||8 Ounce (1 can)|
|Dry red wine||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Dried basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Canned great northern beans||15 Ounce, drained|
|Cubed cooked beef||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Polish sausage||6 Ounce, cut in 1/2 inch slices (2 links)|
|Cold water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Snipped parsley||2 Tablespoon|
In a 3-quart casserole combine the tomato sauce, wine, salt, basil, and garlic.
Micro-cook, uncovered, till mixture bubbles, about 5 minutes, stirring once.
Stir in the beans, beef, and sausage.
Micro-cook, covered, till meat and beans are heated through, about 5 minutes, stirring twice.
Stir water into the flour; blend into bean-meat mixture.
Micro-cook, uncovered, till mixture is thickened and bubbly, about 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds.
Serve in bowls.
Sprinkle with parsley.
