French Fried Camembert
|Camembert cheese round||8 Ounce, well chilled (2 Of 4 Ounce Or 125 Grams Each)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Dried breadcrumbs||4 Ounce (1 Cup Or 125 Grams)|
|Vegetable oil||4 Tablespoon|
|Black cherry jam||3 Tablespoon|
|Creme fraiche||2 Tablespoon|
1. Cut each Camembert round into 3 wedges. Dip each wedge in egg then roll in breadcrumbs to coat.
2. Heat 2.5 cm / 1 in oil in a frying pan over a medium heat, until a cube of bread dropped in browns in 50 seconds. Add cheese wedges and cook for 3-4 minutes each side or until golden. Drain on absorbent kitchen paper and serve immediately with jam and creme fraiche.
