Beef and Onion Soup
|Onions||4 Large, thinly sliced|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Condensed beef broth||31 1⁄2 Ounce (Three 10 1/2 Ounce Each Cans)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|French rolls/Hard roll||2 , sliced and toasted|
|Shredded cheese/Shredded sharp natural cheddar cheese||2 Tablespoon|
In large saucepan cook onions in butter till lightly browned, about 20 minutes.
Add broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Bring to boiling.
Season with salt and dash pepper.
Sprinkle toast generously with cheese.
Place under broiler till cheese is lightly browned.
Pour soup in bowls.
Float a slice of cheese-topped toast atop each serving.
