Au Gratin Vegetables

Ingredients
  Fresh broccoli florets 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cauliflower florets 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Fresh)
  Sliced fresh mushrooms 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sliced carrot 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (1/8 Inch Thick)
  Finely chopped onion 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Water 1 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

In 1-quart pyroceram casserole, combine broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, carrot, onion and water.
Cover.
Microwave at High for 5 to 7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring once.
Set aside.
Place butter in 2-cup measure.
Microwave at High for 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until butter melts.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Blend in milk.
Microwave at High for 2 to 3 minutes, or until mixture thickens and bubbles, stirring after every minute.
Stir hot mixture into vegetables.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Place under broiler until cheese melts, if desired.
