Au Gratin Vegetables
|Fresh broccoli florets||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cauliflower florets||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Fresh)|
|Sliced fresh mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sliced carrot||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (1/8 Inch Thick)|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In 1-quart pyroceram casserole, combine broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, carrot, onion and water.
Microwave at High for 5 to 7 minutes, or until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring once.
Place butter in 2-cup measure.
Microwave at High for 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until butter melts.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Blend in milk.
Microwave at High for 2 to 3 minutes, or until mixture thickens and bubbles, stirring after every minute.
Stir hot mixture into vegetables.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Place under broiler until cheese melts, if desired.
