Classic French Apple Pie

Ingredients
  Nut cookie crust 1
  Thinly sliced pared tart apples 8 Cup (128 tbs) (9 Medium Pieces)
  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour/Unbleached/whole wheat flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Firm margarine/Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Prepare Nut Cookie Crust.
Heat oven to 425°.
Mix apples, granulated sugar, 3 tablespoons flour and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Turn into crust.
Mix 1/2 cup flour, the brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; cut in margarine until crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples.
Cover edge with 2- to 3-inch strip of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning.
Bake 15 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 350°.
Bake 25 to 35 minutes longer or until apples are tender and mixture begins to bubble.
Cool pie slightly; serve warm.
