French Fried Onions

Ingredients
  Onions 3 Large
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Fat/Salad oil 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For deep frying)
Directions

Slice peeled onions 1/4" thick; separate into rings.
Dip in milk, then in the combined flour and salt.
Fry in 1 1/2" of fat or salad oil heated to 380°F or hot enough to brown a cube of day-old bread in 40 seconds, until onions are brown.
Drain on crumpled paper toweling and serve hot with steak, calves liver and bacon, etc.
