Homemade French Onion Dip

Here's a delicious easy recipe for homemade French Onion Dip. Try it at your Superbowl party or at your next card game. Your friends will love it.
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Onion 2 Medium, medium diced
  Fresh lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
  Sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Mayonnaise 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Garlic powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon

Combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder and pepper powder. Keep aside.

Add the olive oil and butter in a skillet. Now add the chopped onions and sauté on medium for 20-30 minutes till golden brown. When done turn off the heat and let cool. Add this to the mayonnaise mixture. Combine. Add a tbsp of fresh lemon juice(optional) and season with salt and pepper.
