Beaten French Doughnuts

Ingredients
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Sifted flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Confectioners sugar 2 Tablespoon
Directions

Place the water, salt and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Stir until butter is melted.
Add the flour and stir until smooth.
Place in a large bowl and cool slightly.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, then beat for 5 minutes.
Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Place in a pastry tube and press onto flat pan dusted with flour to the size of small doughnuts.
Let stand for 1 to 2 hours to dry.
Fry in deep fat at 375 degrees until browned.
Drain on absorbent paper and dust with confectioners' sugar.
