Fruited French Toasted Sandwiches

Ingredients
  White bread slice 16
  Cream cheese 2 Tablespoon
  Deviled ham 2 Tablespoon
  Eggs 4 , beaten
  Milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter margarine/Margarine / salad oil 2 Tablespoon
  Canned cranberry sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Canned pineapple slices 2
  Canned peach halves 2
Directions

About 30 minutes before supper:
1. Spread 4 bread slices with cream cheese; spread 4 more slices with deviled ham; top with remaining bread slices.
2. Combine eggs, milk, sugar, and salt; dip each sandwich into this mixture.
3. Then, in 2 tablespoons hot butter, in skillet, toast each sandwich on both sides, adding butter as needed. Now cut each sandwich in half; arrange on heated platter, with bowl of cranberry sauce in center, and drained canned fruit tucked here and there.
