Bechamel Sauce With Half And Half
|Grated onion||1 Teaspoon|
|Chicken broth||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Half and half||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|White pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
1. Melt butter in a 1-quart glass measuring cup in microwave oven (30 seconds at HIGH). Add onion and flour; mix well. Add broth and half-and-half gradually, stirring constantly.
2. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 4 to 5 minutes at HIGH, or until thickened; stir after 2 minutes, then at the end of each 30 seconds.
3. Remove from oven. Add seasonings and mix well.
