Simple Bechamel Sauce
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Bay leaf||1 Small|
Put all the ingredients into a pan and bring slowly to the boil.
Remove from the heat, cover and leave for 10 minutes.
Strain, and use as required in the Mornay Sauce recipe or White Sauce recipe .
For a quick Cheese Sauce, add 1/2 cup grated cheese once the sauce is cooked, stir to melt the cheese and cook for a further 2-3 minutes.
