French Cheese Rolls

  Cream cheese 3 Ounce (1 Package, Room Temperature)
  Milk 1 Tablespoon
  Soft white bread slices 8
  Strawberry preserves/Raspberry preserves 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
  Sliced fresh strawberries 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Powdered sugar 4 Tablespoon

In a small bowl, beat cream cheese with an electric mixer until soft.
Add milk; continue beating until smooth.
Cut crust from bread.
Roll over each slice once with rolling pin to flatten slightly.
Spread each bread slice with cream-cheese mixture and 1 tablespoon preserves.
Roll up each slice, jelly-roll fashion.
Wrap rolls individually in waxed paper or plastic wrap.
Refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours.
Place eggs, milk and salt in a pie plate or cake pan.
Beat with a fork or whisk until just combined.
Melt butter or margarine in a large skillet.
Dip each roll in egg mixture, coating all sides.
Fry in hot butter or margarine until browned all over.
Drain on paper towels.
Place 2 rolls on each plate.
Arrange strawberry slices on rolls, if desired.
Sift powdered sugar over the top
