Sweet Brioche

Ingredients
  Lukewarm water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Active dry yeast 1
  Scalded milk 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)
  Soft butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 5
  Egg yolk 1
  Cold water 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Measure lukewarm water into mixing bowl.
Add 1 tsp.sugar and stir to dissolve.
Sprinkle yeast over water and let stand 10 minutes.
Stir well.
Add milk, 1 tbsp.sugar and salt.
Add 1 cup of the flour and beat hard until smooth.
Add butter and beat thoroughl
