|Grated chocolate||1 Ounce (1 Cake, French If Possible)|
|Sugar||2 Tablespoon (Adjust Quantity As Per Taste)|
|Rich sweet milk||1 Quart|
|Whipped cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
Melt the chocolate in small amount of hot water.
Bring milk to boil, but do not boil.
Mix chocolate with milk and return to boiling point.
Remove, sweeten to taste or let each person sweeten to taste.
Serve hot with whipped cream to which 1/2 teaspoon brandy has been added,' or a drop or two of brandy may be added to chocolate.
Cocoa may be made in same manner, using 1 level tablespoon of cocoa to each cup of milk.
