Microwaved Beef Bourguignon

  Bacon slices 4 , quartered
  Lean beef sirloin/Top round steak 2 Pound, cut in 3/4 inch cubes
  Flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Fresh mushrooms 8 Ounce, sliced (1 Package)
  Onion 1 Medium, sliced
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), finely chopped
  Bay leaf 1
  Parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Thyme 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Burgundy wine 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Instant beef bouillon 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon

Place bacon in 2-quart casserole, cover with paper towel.
Microwave 2 minutes on high. (Do not drain).
Coat beef cubes with flour.
Add to bacon and drippings.
Toss to coat with fat.
Sprinkle any remaining flour over meat.
Add mushrooms, onion, garlic, bay leaf, parsley and thyme.
Stir in wine and bouillon.
Microwave 5 minutes on high.
Reduce setting.
Microwave 30 minutes on medium, or until beef is fork tender, stirring once.
Season with salt and pepper.
Let stand 10 minutes, covered.
Remove bay leaf.
