Vanilla French Toast

For all you dads and kids, here's a quick and easy breakfast that every mother would love to have brought to her in bed this Sunday morning: French toast. This is a great breakfast that you can cook up with the help of your kids to give your wife or mother to start off her day. To all the mothers out there, Happy Mother's day and thanks for everything you do for us.
Ingredients
  Sourdough bread pieces 10
  Eggs 3 Large
  Half and half 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter slices 4
  Strawberries 4
  Maple syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Confectioner's sugar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

In an 8x8 deep pan, mix eggs, Half & Half, and vanilla extract. Dunk the slices of sourdough bread in the egg mixture. Allow the bread to absorb the mixture for 20 to 30 seconds on each side. Place a 1/4 of an inch thick slice of butter in a non-stick skillet. Cover the base of the skillet and add the soaked bread. Cook on either side for 2 to 3 minutes on a medium high heat until golden brown. Cover with warm maple syrup and confectionery sugar. Serve hot with a side of sliced strawberries.
