Tomatoes Au Gratin
|Olive oil||45 Milliliter (3 Tablespoon)|
|Tomatoes||6 Large, cut into 1/2 inch, 2 centimeter, thick slices|
|Oregano/Marjoram||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Capers||30 Milliliter (2 Tablespoon)|
|Bread crumbs||60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)|
|Grated parmesan cheese||60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)|
|Salt||To Taste (1 Milliliter)|
|Pepper||To Taste (1 Milliliter)|
– Preheat oven to 450 °F (220 °C).
– Coat a baking dish with 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil and spread half the tomato slices in bottom, then sprinkle with oregano and add half the capers. Season with salt and pepper.
– Arrange rest of tomatoes and capers over mixture. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cheese, and coat with rest of olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes.
