Sweet & Spicy French Dressing
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Finely chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced or pressed|
|Salad oil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Catsup||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Celery seed||1 Teaspoon|
In a small pan, combine sugar, flour, and vinegar.
Cook, stirring, over medium heat until bubbly and thickened; pour into blender container.
Add salt, Worcestershire, onion, and garlic; whirl until smooth.
With blender set on lowest speed, gradually add oil in a slow steady stream until blended.
Transfer mixture to a bowl and stir in catsup and celery seed.
If made ahead, cover and refrigerate.
Store for as long as 4 weeks
