French Fried Onion Rings
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Slice onions 1/4 inch thick. Separate onion slices into rings. In 3- to 4-quart saucepan over medium heat, heat 2 inches salad oil to 370°F. on deep-fat thermometer (or heat oil in deep-fat fryer set at 370°F.).
2. In small dish, place milk. In small bowl, mix flour and salt. Dip onion rings into milk, then into flour mixture. Repeat to coat twice.
3. In hot salad oil, cook onion rings 3 to 5 minutes, until golden brown. Drain thoroughly on paper towels.
